For new Windows 11 computers

Set up a computer they can actually use.

New Windows PCs come packed with pop-ups, ads, an AI assistant, weather panels and apps nobody asked for. SimplifyPC clears it all away in a few clicks, so Mom, Dad or Grandma just see the internet, their photos and their email.

Coming soon for Windows 11. A free version will be included.

  • Set up a parent's or grandparent's PC in about 10 minutes
  • Safe: makes a restore point first, and has an Undo button
  • Adds protection from fake "your computer has a virus" pop-ups
The problem

Out of the box, it's a lot.

Nobody is at fault. New computers are set up to show you ads and try new features, not to be calm. Here's the difference SimplifyPC makes.

Questions

Good things to ask first

Is it safe?

Before it changes anything, SimplifyPC shows you the list and lets you preview it. It creates a Windows restore point and remembers every original setting, so one click on Undo puts things back. It never touches your photos, documents or email.

Can I undo the changes?

Yes. Settings changes are fully reversible. Removed apps aren't restored by Undo, but they can be reinstalled for free from the Microsoft Store.

Does it remove Edge?

No. Windows needs Edge, so it stays on the PC. SimplifyPC quiets it down and, with Pro, installs Chrome or Firefox and helps you make it the default. Windows requires you to click that final choice yourself.

Why did Windows show a warning when I opened it?

New programs from small makers often trigger a "Windows protected your PC" notice until they are recognised or digitally signed.

What will it change?

Every change is listed in plain English in the app with a short description of what it does. Nothing is hidden.

Does it work on Windows 10?

SimplifyPC is built for Windows 11, which is what new PCs come with.

Will Windows undo my changes after an update?

Occasionally a big Windows update brings a setting back. If so, open SimplifyPC and press Apply again. It shows what has reset.
